Copper Symposium and Technical Exchange at Corrosion 2019

Copper alloys are on the agenda at NACE International’s Corrosion 2019 conference to be held in Nashville, Tennessee 24-28 March.

Latest alloy developments and information on behaviour of copper alloys in seawater, corrosion issues and methods of optimising performance will be the topics for a dedicated symposium and an informal Technical Exchange Group workshop.

Exhibits, technical publications and the opportunity for one-to-one discussions with leading experts will be on offer at the Copper Development Association Inc., Booth 2015.

Symposium: Corrosion of Copper and Copper Alloys
This symposium will include technical papers from industry and academic experts on seawater corrosion of copper and copper alloys, covering applications such as seawater piping, heat exchangers, desalination units and ship propellers.

TEG 523X Technical Exchange Workshop: Marine Corrosion of Copper Alloys

Thursday 28 March, 10 am—12 pm
Nashville Music City Center—Room 209C

This workshop provides an informal opportunity to disseminate new information and discuss existing experience and preventive strategies. Attendees can present their own observations, and discuss papers presented in the wider meeting with a view to increasing participation and activity in future symposia.

Sponsoring Committee: TEG 523X [STG 44]
Chair: Dominique Thierry of the French Corrosion Institute

Copper Development Association Inc., Booth 2015
For further discussion of copper alloys at Corrosion 2019, CDA and industry technical experts will be on hand to answer questions and discuss methods of ensuring the best performance of copper alloys in a range of applications. The latest technical publications will also be available, free-of-charge.

Visit www.coppernickel.org for more information on copper-nickels, with a focus on their use in the marine environment and the NACE website for event information.
